Dr Camilleri listened to all of my mothers ailments and was very caring. My mother is bone on bone in both knees and as she is not eligible for surgery. After discussing her prescribed pain relief from her GP he recommended an injection in both knees. This was very successful and has improved mums ability to walk with a reduced pain level. We have returned many times and on each occasion the treatment has helped.

I found Dr Camilleri to be very attentive and understanding of my issue - an elbow bursitis - which he treated during my consultation. I would not hesitate seeking his assistance should the issue persist and would not hesitate in recommending Dr Camilleri. Many thanks

Despite my explanation of the situation perhaps not having been in easy chronological order, Dr Camilerri managed to organise this for me and take note of salient points.

The arrangements for making the appointment were most efficient. Dr Camilleri's secretary was excellent with her prompt communications and very reassuring. Dr Camilleri had fully prepared for the appointment and it was apparent he had carefully considered the reports provided. He conducted himself in a reassuring and professional way that inspired confidence.

Profile

I started training in rheumatology as a part of my general medical training at The Royal London Hospital and Newham General Hospital between 1987 and 1989. During this time I obtained a clinical fellowship for two years research into experimental treatments for inflammatory arthritis.

I was appointed Consultant Rheumatologist in 1995 and worked in the East Glamorgan and Llwynpia Hospitals before relocating to Cardiff and Vale Healthboard where I worked as a consultant for 22 years. My training background includes diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sports related injuries and soft tissue rheumatism. My main special interest is in connective tissue diseases and paediatric rheumatology.
